My cat is very agile and a climber, are the flaps enough to hold him in?
Absolutely. The flaps are specially designed to prevent even the most acrobatic cats from escaping from balconies and terraces. Their inward slope makes climbing almost impossible. For maximum safety, it is recommended to combine them with a reinforced protective net, as we offer with our Protection Kit Flaps + Net .
Is the Bavolets + Netting kit suitable for all types of fences or walls?
Yes, the anti-escape flaps are designed to fit a wide variety of surfaces: grilles, mesh, fences, palisades, walls, balcony railings, or terrace railings. They are available in several models and include mounting kits that allow installation on wood, metal, or concrete surfaces.
Is it possible to remove or move the side skirts once installed?
Yes, the mud flaps can be removed and reinstalled if necessary, for example, when moving. The fasteners used allow for clean removal without damaging the surfaces on which they were installed.
Is the net resistant to my cat's claws and bites?
If you think your cat will chew the net, we recommend choosing the green net reinforced with steel wire. This is the one we automatically include in the Bavolets + Net Protection Kit .
Can we buy just the flaps or just the net?
Yes, you can buy the flaps individually or the net alone. They are also available in custom-made versions; you can provide us with the desired dimensions if our standard sizes do not fit your balcony or terrace.
What is the difference between standard netting and reinforced netting?
The green net, reinforced with steel mesh, is perfect for cats that climb and chew, such as fearless cats or kittens.
The transparent or black mesh is more suitable for calmer or older cats.
What is the difference between a catio and an outdoor enclosure?
No difference, just jargon 😸 Enclosure cation... we can even call it a cattery.
Can the catio dimensions be customized for a balcony or terrace?
Absolutely, you can make a custom request and have frames made to your dimensions that are easy to install.
